About the West African Trade & Transport Seminar
While the recent spotlight on the G8 talks and African debt is
rightly stimulating new interests in the continent's role in global
trade, experienced African trading interests know just how difficult
it still is to move goods and money to, from and within the continent.
Likewise, transport operators of all modes are expecting to see
benefits from the current round of privatisation, but are still
concerned at the bottlenecks and obstacles that will remain, adding
cost and competition restrictions to the trade opportunities that
Africa desperately needs.
This focused one-day seminar brings together expert speakers from
the banking, trade documentation and security sectors, large and
small trading concerns, and specialist regional consultants and
transport operators, to review current and future issues for trade
to and from the West Africa region.
Who should attend?
The seminar will be of value to:
- Experienced African business executives looking to catch up
on latest trade and transport issues impacting their business
- Those new to the West African market who want to learn the "do's
and don'ts" of trading within the region
Anyone involved in the following capacities will benefit from the
education and networking opportunities of this timely event:
- Shippers, traders and manufacturers
- Banks and law firms
- Shipping lines and transport operators
