EMRC AgriBusiness Forum FAO Headquarters, Rome, Italy
"The Agro-Food Industry as Engine for Growth and Wealth" will focus on business networking and the discussion of business opportunities in Africa's agribusiness sectors. It represents an excellent opportunity for business leaders and project developers in Europe and Africa to enter in direct contact with potential business partners and top-level decision makers dealing with Africa's agricultural and agro-industry development.

Earthwatch Lecture – 'Ghanaian Communities & Conservation'
Thursday, 7.00pm - 8.30pm, at the Royal Geographical Society, 1 Kensington Gore, London SW7 2AR. Two talks on Earthwatch's work with the Nature Conservation Research Centre of Ghana (NCRC) to develop research and conservation projects to the benefit not only of the environment, but also the livelihoods of the local populations through community based ecotourism. John Mason, Executive Director of the NCRC, will give an historical overview of this programme, while Dr. Patrick Ofori Danson, of the University of Ghana, will specifically tell us about his work on West African manatees.
